Chairman and CEO of ANA since 2012, Jorge Ponce de Leao has become a member of VINCI Airports execution committee in 2013, following the acquisition of the Portuguese airport concession company finalized on September 17th 2013.

EE Jorge Ponce de Leao graduated from the University of Coimbra in 1969 with a degree in law, from the University Dauphine in 1975 and from the University of Rotterdam in 1980 with a business degree. He completed his studies with an executive program at Stanford in 1995.

In 1974, he became head of the legal department for Portugal’s Confederation of Industries. From 1975 to 1980, he directed Unilever’s legal and tax department in Portugal.

From 1977 to 1983, he was an advisor to the Portuguese pilots association. From 1980 to 1987, he served as associate director at the Jeronimo Martins Group and then was in charge of mergers and acquisitions until 1992. He was appointed to the management committee, with responsibility for strategy and finance.

From 2002 to 2007, he was Vice President for budget, finance and human resources at RTP, the Portuguese broadcasting company. In 2008, he became head of tourism company SAIP and consulted on behalf of TAP and SATA airline.

From 2008 to 2012, he worked for a private equity fund.

Since 2012, he has served as CEO of ANA. He has become a member of the VINCI Airports executive committee in 2013.
